Io continuo a vedere potenzialmente perfetta una trasposizione cinematografica di Resistance, quella sensazione che ti faceva provare specialmente il primo episodio, quel mix tra Seconda guerra mondiale e fantascienza, magari non sarebbe una cosa originalissima, ma di sicuro effetto.

Qualche pazzoide ha avuto l'idea di produrre tutto da solo un film e ha tormentato per anni i visitatori di una board del forum del noto sito IGN con le sue idee strampalate e il fantomatico script, qualcuno s'è impietosito e ha deciso di tramutare le sue idee in... beh, questo:

La prima parte che vi ho linkato è solo una demo, mentre le altre 2 o 3 sono fatte intenzionalmente male, cioè da gente che si vede che lavora nel campo della CG e ha inserito degli errori assurdi per farsi 3 risate alla faccia del tizio, che detto tra noi si fa chiamare joe_cracker, e questa è la sua storia: Prepare to be Crackerized!

Cercatevi anche le altre parti di "The Light of Courage"!

Per quanto riguarda il film ispirato ad Halo, in un articolo di quattro mesi fa si parlava di un ipotetico coinvolgimento della Dreamworks e di Spielberg:

While movies based on videogames can be notoriously dodgy about actually releasing, Ken Levine, the creative director behind the series, believes that the BioShock film is not dead - just resting.

"The thing with Gore [Verbinski] didn't work out, but there's no such thing as 'it's finished' when it comes to making a movie out of something," said Levine in a recent interview. While Levine admits that given the movie's tumultuous past, it would take a mighty celestial convergence to get the film back on track, he hardly sees the task as impossible. He views the project more as a battle of resources. "Right now, we're choosing our battles and focussing (sic) on making BioShock: Infinite."

After four years in and out of production and two directors calling it quits, BioShock's film prospects don't look as good as they once did. Still, if the driving player behind the series is willing to throw his weight behind the movie, it could eventually see the light of day. BioShock: Infinite launches in October, though, so even if Levine focuses all his efforts on a film as soon as the game is out the door, it could be another few years before a film hits theaters. If the film ever sees a release, will Levine still be making BioShock games by then?"

Volevo proprio postarlo io... considerando il gioco sono davvero curiosissimo di ciò che ne verrà fuori...sperando sempre che il progetto non lo tolgono di mezzo...

Altro film videoludico teoricamente interessante è Silent Hill: Revelation 3D (regista: Michael J. Bassett)... a quanto sembra la prima statunitense è fissata per il 26 ottobre:

Shadow of the Colossus diverrà un film diretto da Josh Trank... al momento Sony Pictures ha scritturato il regista ed è in cerca di uno sceneggiatore.

Visto che i pochi trascorsi di Trank sono legati agli action movies, nonché a tematiche tipo "supereroi con superproblemi" (esempio: "Chronicle") non è facile capire se la difficile trasposizione cinematografica del titolo PS2 sarà influenzata o meno dalle sue limitate esperienze.
Al momento, fra l'altro, il regista californiano sta lavorando a due nuovi film basati su personaggi Marvel (i Fantastici 4 e Venom).

Quì alcune informazioni su futuro regista di "Shadow of the Colossus: The Movie" e sulla sua scritturazione da parte di Sony Pictures:

Qualche tempo fa si parlava della trasposizione cinemtografica di Spy Hunter ( http://www.arcade-history.com/?n=spy...detail&id=2600 ), noto coin-op Bally / Midway datato 1983. Da quel pocho che si legge in giro su questo film, pare che il regista non sia ancora stato designato e che la data di distribuzione nelle sale lo collocherebbe nel 2013... ovvero 30 anni dopo l'arcade "di riferimento":
